More than 15 years ago, a dear friend said to me: “Steph, life is worth stopping to smell the roses more often.” This was in response to me being a goal-driven person and not taking time to celebrate what I had.

As a competitive athlete, I learned to identify priorities, set and accomplish goals, work on my mindset, continuously learn, then set more goals. This was something I carried into business once I graduated from college and it helped me be successful.

However, I often overlooked an important piece of life – celebrating along the way! I mean the kind of celebration where you have a smile on your face the whole time and you want to continue dancing after everyone goes home.

In the spirit of the holidays, I am grateful for so much and I’d like to share a few things I am celebrating:

  • Good Health – A healthy body and mind make life enjoyable and are essential to feeling good.
  • Family – My dear husband and kids that love with their whole hearts and show me how much love is in my heart.
  • You – Connecting with you, the friendship and conversations we have, and the community we’ve created.

The picture above sums up our Thanksgiving holiday celebration.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season filled with joy and love!

As we approach 2019, I’ll be setting goals and celebrating along the way.
